Collection: Coppiced Hazel - many options

Hazel is one of the most versatile wood types available in the UK. The main reason hazel is so versatile is down to the strength of the wood whilst being flexible and light.

The options include:

  • (1/4") 7mm Diameter* this is ideal for wicker and crafting, pliable and supple. Ideal for making wreaths.
  • (1/2") 12mm Diameter* strong enough to stand and support plants whilst being easy shape. Ideal for making archways, garden edging or small hurdle.
  • (1") 25mm Diameter* strong and flexible. Ideal for the horizontal poles in a hurdle fence, (wattle hurdles and gate hurdles, rods, cleft hazel, or wands). Privacy screen or for walking sticks.
  • 1" 1/4) 31.75 Diameter* Standard size for Morris dancing clash sticks.
  • (1 1/2") 38mm Diameter* Ideal diameter for the upright posts, zales in a hurdle or fence posts.

*NOTE: All diameters stated are approximates and product received may be a couple of millimetres either side of stated diameter.
