Top Lock Farm

Top Lock Farm is a small holding nestled near Sherwood Forest along the Chesterfield Canal, straddling the border between South Yorkshire and Nottinghamshire. This cherished piece of land encompasses an apple orchard, wild meadow, ponds, and woodland—a thriving ecosystem that supports a remarkable variety of plants, trees, and fungi.

What makes Top Lock Farm truly special is its commitment to natural stewardship. The land has always been, and remains, completely free from pesticide and herbicide use. We believe in working with nature rather than against it, allowing the landscape to flourish on its own terms whilst carefully tending to what it offers.

When it comes to harvesting, we take a gentle approach. Rather than relying on heavy machinery, we use simple traditional tools to hand-pick each order. This thoughtful method ensures quality and minimises disturbance to the delicate balance of the land.
