AIMS OF THE MANUAL.

1. The primary aim of the manual is to provide a simplified approach to the understanding of data
processing. It is intended for those with little or no knowledge of the subject including:-
a. Students preparing themselves for Data Processing in the examinations of the following bodies;
Chartered Accountants, Certified Accountants, Cost and Management Accountants and Public
Finance Accountants. For them the manual is eminently suitable.
b. HND, HNC and IDP students and those preparing for the NCC Basic Certificate in Systems
Analysis who will find the manual an ideal basis for study.
