Hello, thank you for visiting RoverUK.co.uk and I hope you find what you are looking for.
I would like to provide a bit of a background to what it is I do and where the website has come from. I hope you find you can trust RoverUK.co.uk with your order and if you have any problems please contact me Ryan@climb-hire.co.uk.
Up until March 2020 we, Climb Hire Limited, were attending events across the UK with our activities of Climbing, Caving and Archery. As you know things soon changed for us all and unfortunately this industry, being Recreation, Leisure and Tourism has been hit very hard. Our business model was particularly vulnerable. We travelled to many schools and events across the UK and this simply could not continue during the lockdown and the restrictions that followed. On a personal note, I did not feel it would be good to travel from county to county mixing with different groups across the country, even if it was permitted.
So, I don’t think I had much choice but to move in a different direction. After spending 15 years working to build up a very popular, successful business, then to have it taken away through no fault or choice of your own is a very difficult thing to accept.
During the off season, for many years, I have been building up a large inventory of books and collectables. Selling online via Amazon and Ebay with a very healthy feedback score of 99% with Amazon – Seller Name: Ryan Stuff (Climb Hire) and the same with Ebay – Seller Name: RoverUK.
I am grateful for this now as I have had to quickly change direction and this, online sales, has become my only business focus and will remain this way for the foreseeable future. With a keen interest in the great outdoors I plan to branch out further to more outdoor related products as well as increasing the number of gardening items available.
The natural progression from selling on these platforms such as Ebay and Amazon was to create my own website and sales page. On RoverUK.co.uk, I can price the items more competitively, as well as offering more bespoke products and services without the extra fees.
It is likely that I will never return to working in the Recreation and Leisure industry and I choose now to focus on building up this business. Like the previous incarnation, I aim to build this new enterprise upon a good reputation.
I chose the name RoverUK for a couple of reasons; the main one being that I have a 1930’s Rover and I collect anything related to this, also I feel the name suites me as I explore new opportunities
So, that’s about it in short (well as short as I could keep it).
