Following-up her successful debut `Smile', jazz vocalist Sheena Davis's new album continues the theme of exploring the vocal repertoire. Alongside a generous helping of jazz classics are two trademark re-workings of more recent songs, and three self-penned tunes. With a singer who can soar and whisper in a heart beat, guest spots from two of this country's finest, guitarist Jim Mullen and trumpeter Guy Barker, and a rhythm section as solid as Gibraltar, this album crackles with energy.

Since the release of `Smile' in 2001, Sheena Davis has become firmly established as one of Britain's top jazz vocalists. Her innate sense of swing and her bluesy and dynamic voice have frequently led to comparisons with the great jazz vocalists. Like them Sheena has broadened the jazz repertoire to include songs from the popular songbook as well as writing her own material.
