FOREWORD
The Escort RS 2000 is an extension to the Escort/Orion ‘9l model range.
The designation "2000 represents a 2.0 litre DOHC engine featuring 16 valves and an output performance of 110 kW/ 150 HP.
This high performance power unit was developed on the basis of the well proven 20 DOHC engine with eight valves, installed in the Sierra and Scorpio model series, and is available exclusively in the 83 US Emission Regulation version
The chassis of the Escort RS 2000 has been adapted to the higher engine performance.
The 2.0 DOHC 16 valve engine is available only with the new MTX 75 transmission
