By using the moss to mix feeds, such as mealworm, encourages a more natural eating habit. Mixing the feed in the moss will allow more birds to search for food rather than one bird being able to eat too much in one sitting.
Mix in your bird food (seeds or grubs) for robins and other small birds and allow them to forage as they naturally would all year round. Also this moss is perfect natural bird nest material.
0.5kg Live Field Moss supplied (Common Feather/Fern Moss) plenty to cover a bird table, or place at the base of trees/hedges (place the moss where you would like it to grow and soak thoroughly with rain/pond water).
Important: This is living moss from a woodland floor:
- Open as soon as you can, outside there will/may be small bugs in the moss.
- Wear gloves when handling and be aware there may be a thorn.
- Wash hands after handling and do not consume.
